leonthelazylion asked: i need help, im having major difficulties with this. can you help me find the equation of the tangent plane to the surface z= e^2x/17 ln(3y) at the point (4,1,1.759)?
See, this is one of those things where, if I had my Calculus books/notebooks in front of me, I could do it, no problem. Having said that, my books/notes are buried deep in some box in the garage because I haven’t needed them since my last calculus course in the spring of 2008. Give me a Calc I or II problem, I can do it without referencing those notes. But Multi-variable calc… eh, not so much. Also, we did most of this stuff on a program called Maple 13, which I don’t have on my personal computer. Or, if we didn’t need Maple, we used calculators, but mine is dead. :-/
I’m sorry I couldn’t help. If you ever have a question about Calc I or II (single-variable calc), logic, set theory, group theory, or other things like algebra or geometry, I’m your girl. And proofs. I was pretty decent at proof writing. At least, I was three years ago… lol :p
I hope you can figure it out! I have no idea what the atmosphere at your school is like, but I was in my prof’s office asking questions on a weekly basis. *shrugs*
